incredible start to finish !!! love how smooth all the movement was. hella cool

awesome job here - game is fun to play, the song is a lil bop, the movement is smooth and fluid and it shows

overall, i think if you were to do more with this past the demo, i would suggest adding some more personality to the game in the form of bad guys / villains, and a story of some kind. i think the gameplay is very polished and good, and it's worth thinking about & expanding into the questions of, who is this lil penguin guy and what's he up against? you could show this thru cutscenes, or just thru the gameplay itself, but I think putting effort into this would really help bring this up a step from sonic derivative game to charming n' goofy platformer

but yeah, for a newgrounds demo, great job!

constructive feedback:

there's too much emphasis on trial and error for the puzzle mechanics to be fun here, at least for me. there were multiple situations in which i had to pick a direction and guess, hoping for the best, which is kind of lame. it'd be nice if you took the minesweeper approach and had some kind of visual indicator for the amount of nearby mines, or had some kind of different new mechanic here to engage with.

also, the movement is kind of janky. it'd be nice if you could hold arrow keys to move a bit quicker or tap to move faster than the game lets you, since if I tap a direction a bunch of times the current scenario is that the game drops your inputs.

also also, the sound effects would benefit from a bit of mixing, i think they ended up being much louder than the music and the victory sfx doesn't really mesh with the game music
